Nan Ya De!!?

Well, inspired by 'Yakitate!! Japan' I decided that I would try to bake my own bread. I used the ingredients and recipe from the Suihanja-pan episode. The first attempt wasn't the best but it was edible at the very least. I think I left it in the oven for too long, and at too high a temperature. The second attempt I reduced it to gas mark 5 and baked it for a shorter period of time. This batch looks better on the outside but for some reason hasn't risen as much as the first lot. They look more like big scones than bread rolls. Maybe I didn't add enough flour to the mixture or maybe I didn't knead the dough enough but they seemed to flatten when left alone on the tray. Still, they taste alright and it's an improvement on the first lot. I think I'll try again soon, but only after the current stockpile has been eaten or I'll be buried under bread. /laugh

Yakitate! Japan

Well, things haven't turned out quite as I planned. I've ended up leaving Guardians Reborn. I can't say for sure whether if it's the right decision at this point in time but I feel it's the best I can do for now. I've decided to wear my Kuroneko Doumei linkshell for the time being, it's better than not having a linkshell at all. Maybe in the future I'll be part of a proper linkshell again but for now I'd rather not join one.

Dynamis hasn't been the best lately. We didn't even manage to win Jeuno last Wednesday and suffice to say, I didn't get my Saotome Sune-Ate. We also lost on Buburimu last Sunday. The new zones don't quite live up to their reputation of being fun areas to try. We ended up only killing 4-5 enemies in the whole hour we had. The Apocalyptic Beast was almost as hard as the Dynamis Lord in Xarcabard. Hopefully we'll get better at them in time.

I've begun watching Yakitate! Japan and I'm loving it. I downloaded a song from the opening title sequence and I liked the sound of it. I thought the anime must be half decent if the song is that good so I gave it a try. The main plot of the anime is about a boy who's trying to make a bread that's good enough to be called a national bread of Japan. It's full of funny moments, even some slightly disturbing moments at times due to it's oddity. The characters can be a tad annoying at times but you warm to them eventually. The whole series is so good I've even decided to give bread making a try myself! /laugh We'll see how that goes... but in the meantime I'll continue to watch all 59 episodes.

Aice5

It's been a tough couple of weeks but I things are beginning to return to normal. Well, as normal as things can be when they've changed so dramatically. Right now the linkshell is feeling a little empty due to all the absent people who are taking breaks from the game. Inevitably this makes you wonder if the linkshell is going to break up. After all, a linkshell without any members isn't really a linkshell. I've gone through a few linkshell break ups in my time and they're not very nice to experience. I'm not going to dwell on these matters, however, it's not going to help anyone. If push does come to shove I'll retreat to my personal linkshell. I don't really fancy joining anymore linkshells after all this time.

Good news hasn't been absent though. Firstly I got myself a Bushinomimi earring as a reward from the Divine Might mission of Zilart. I've wanted one of these earrings for a long time but I never imagined I'd ever get one. Thanks must go to my friend, Zansho, for getting me into the fighting alliance. Second piece of good news is I got my Saotome Kabuto from Dynamis-Xarcabard. I couldn't believe my eyes when it dropped after we defeated Count Vine. I definitely had a heart attack when I beat 2 other people to win the item. Now I have this piece, I only need 2 more for the full relic armour set. They shouldn't be too hard to get as their supposed to be pretty common drops. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
