My Deepest Condolences

I've just learned of some terrible news. Japanese news has reported that the younger brother of Yoshizawa Hitomi (the leader of Morning Musume) has died in an accident. It is said that he was riding his bike and was emerging from a junction when a car collided with him. He suffered major head and neck injuries and was taken to A&E. Upon hearing the news Yoshizawa Hitomi rushed to the hospital to be by his bedside. Unfortunately the doctors could not save him and he died the next day. It is not known at this time whether Hitomi will continue her position as the leader of Morning Musume until May. Since the accident she has not been in contact with the UFA staff so they cannot say for certain.

I was completely shocked by this terrible news. My most sincere condolences go out to Hitomi and her family. Whatever she decides to do in the coming weeks I will totally understand and support. My thoughts are with her.
