Tsuyoki De Yukouze!
03 January 2007
Like I promised in a previous post, here are the pictures of Morning Musume's 5th album, "No.5". It comes in a nice cardboard box with the middle cut out in the shape of the members featured on CD cover. The poster it comes with is pretty big, I'd say about A3 size and has all the members dotted around in 'action' poses. It also comes with a little fold out booklet that has the girls in various outfits. All of the pieces are in very good condition as usual. The CD is practically brand new. I cannot see a single scratch on the disc at all. That's one reason I like buying from Japanese sellers, they almost always keep their items in mint condition. They treat them with the care and attention they deserve and it really shows when they come to sell them as second hand goods.
As for the album itself, it's growing on me. I wasn't a particular fan of 'Do It Now' at first but I'm finding myself humming it occasionally. My favourite tracks on the album are 'Suggoi Nakama' and 'Tsuyoki de Yukouze!'. The former is a very jumpy, happy song which makes you feel glad to have your friends around. It also features a very funky rapping bit in the middle. The latter song is one I began to like when I heard it in one of their concerts. It sounded really good when they sang it live so I was determined to get it on CD. The album version loses a bit of its adrenaline but it's still a very high octane track which gets you livened up. As for the other songs on the album they're pretty decent overall. I'd give this CD an 8/10. Definitely one of their best.
Still not worked out my New Year's resolutions yet but they're coming. I should have them sorted by the next update. Tanomu yo.
